BECOME A WINTER WARRIOR!

Winter Warriors are dedicated volunteers who brave the winter chill to help at our Habitat Stores and Construction Sites from December to March. Their efforts support the mission of building safe, stable, and affordable homes for individuals and families in Seattle-King & Kittitas Counties, regardless of the weather. By participating, Winter Warriors not only make a meaningful impact in their community but also have the chance to win exciting prizes and encounter surprises along the way!

Our Winter Construction Opportunities...

If you’re interested in construction volunteering, our sites are open to volunteers every Wednesday, Thursday, and Satruday for anyone 16 and older. Volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by an adult (21+).

Volunteer of all skill levels are welcome to sign up for for full day shifts (8:45am-4:00pm) which take place Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday.

Opportunities at our construction locations will vary greatly depending on where we are in our building stage. You could have the opportunity to participate in anything from building walls, to painting or adding the finishing touches. We are currently building in the South Park and Burien neighborhoods.

In Seattle-King & Kittitas Counties, and around the world, Habitat for Humanity brings people together as volunteers, homeowners, donors, and community members to create strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter. Working with volunteers, families, individuals, corporations, congregations, and donors, we are able to address the critical need for affordable housing throughout Seattle-King & Kittitas Counties. We are dedicated to making homeownership possible for low-income, hardworking families and individuals. In our community, Habitat for Humanity constructs affordable homes, repairs homes for income-qualified homeowners and seniors, operates discount home improvement stores in Auburn, Southcenter, Bellevue, and Ellensburg, and mobilizes nearly 4,500 volunteers a year.

Description

Habitat for Humanity of Seattle-King County works to eliminate substandard housing through constructing, renovating and preserving homes; by advocating for fair and just housing policies; and by providing training and access to resources to help families improve their shelter conditions.

  • At this time, we only offer full day shifts from 8:45am - 4:00pm. Volunteers can choose the day(s) and site location that works best for them via our websites. You can volunteer for as many days as you wish.
