Volunteers are paid in six figures: S-M-I-L-E-S!!! Volunteers are an integral part of the Hospice Team. Their unique skills and interests help to provide comfort, and enhance quality of life for our patients and their families. They selflessly offer their time and hearts to our Elara Caring family members, helping them feel at ease knowing a companion is present when they need to step out for life's errands. Some of our Volunteer opportunities include: companionship visits, active listening, bedside sitting, letter writing, sharing hobbies, reading, gardening, listening to or playing music, sewing memory bears, drawing and assisting in the office.
