Our Volunteers are integral to providing tennis programming to a growing community of children, adults, military veterans and those with special needs.

The San Antonio Tennis Association is looking for volunteers for the following dates:

The Mabry Open Level 5 March 10th-13th City League Playoff April 2nd Alamo Classic April 15th-17th Fiesta Open Level 6 April 22nd-24th Combo Tournaments May 13th-15th Memorial Day Open Level 6 May 27th-29th June Junior Open Level 5 (12/16) June 18th-19th SATA Adult Major Zone Open Level 5 July 8th-10th SATA Summer Junior Level 6 July 30th August Junior Open Level 4 (12/18) Aug. 20th-21st Texas Adult Sectionals Closed Level 4 Sept. 3rd-4th Tri-Level Tournament Oct. 7th-9th Texas Super Senior Sectional Level 3 Oct. 20th-23rd 2022 40+ & 55+ Masters Closed Nov. 4th-6th 18-39 Sectionals Nov. 12th-13th South Texas Open Level 6 Dec. 2nd-5th Fire and Ice Tournament Dec. 9th-11th

Description:

  • Volunteers will work a MAXIMUM of 5 hours per shift
  • Volunteers will work a MAXIMUM of 1 shift per event
  • Volunteers are often needed to help run drills, be court monitors, be education tutors, instruct participants on proper tennis technique and offer encouragement. All volunteers are able to earn community service hours.

Mission Statement

To promote and develop the lifetime sport of tennis as a means of healthful recreation, physical fitness, social skill development, and character-building and provide accessible tennis programming to players of all ages and abilities regardless of background, circumstance, or lifestyle.

Description

Our organization is divided into 3 pillars- Programs, Tournaments and Leagues. O ur Programs host a large variety of Tennis Clinics as well as Fitness activities. For our younger tennis players, we have Summer Camps, a Junior Tennis Team, and Junior Tennis Clinics. For our seniors we have a no-cost 60+ Tennis Clinic sponsored by WellMed. O ur Tournaments and Leagues are a great opportunity for those who love Tennis and might have played in High School or learned later on in life to continue to challenge themselves competitively. Our Leagues are for those with more time commitment as they run per session while our Tournaments are hosted per date for specific experience levels and age ranges.
