Recruiting Organization: Beyond South America
Are you curious, adventurous and looking for a nice internship or meaningful volunteer position? Beyond South America - a small scale mediation agency in internships and volunteer positions - helps, connects and supports.
About the project : Rapidly increasing traffic in the Andes of Bolivia leads to high concentrations of pollutant - green areas with trees and shrubs are rare. Our partner realizes environmental education with students in the south of the city of Cochabamba, integrating aspects of environmental protection, plant production and waste management. They are teaching in the classrooms, bringing classes in the nature and doing hands-on work with the students. Every year, training programs with 1,500 to 2,000 students are realized.
Usefull skills: experience in teaching, developing didactic materials, interest in/knowledge of environmental subjects, interest in/knowledge of agricultural subjects, flexibility, research, working with kids
Location: the office is located in the south of Cochabamba, regular worktrips into the field and to schools in districts around Cochabamba. Cochabamba is a big city where you can find everything you need.
Possible tasks: assisting the teachers giving classes, developing methods and didactic Material, researching educational information, developing short-term group projects for environmental education
