Recruiting Organization: The American Leader
The American Leader is looking to build out its content offerings and needs journalists, subject matter experts, or just good writers who are passionate about cutting through the data smog to focus on how we make progress on the systemic problems facing the nation and the people who are working to make positive change in business and politics. We're looking for writers with an interest in one or more of the following: threats to voting and voting rights, climate change, limited access to healthcare, our exploding national debt, income and wealth inequality, challenges to civics education, and our uncertain immigration policies.
In particular, we’re looking for writers who can connect these problem areas to how they impact your community - and how your community is addressing them.
We want writers who see the world through our problem-solving lens and who are focused more on results rather than storytelling. We are interested in reaching a general audience so are less impressed with verbal gymnastics and more bowled over by sentences that break down important concepts into digestible components. Bring your ideas to us or let us offer an idea to run with - we are a collaborative venture that will reward the people who help us grow.
College and graduate level writers and career changers are especially welcome as we value and commit to nurturing the spark that makes you want to communicate on these important issues.
