Horseshoe Canyon's intriguing rock paintings and peckings are considered by many to be the most significant in North America. The Great Gallery, the best known and most spectacular panel in the canyon, includes well-preserved, life-size images with intricate designs. Other impressive sights include late summer wildflowers, sheer sandstone walls, and many large cottonwood trees that shade the canyon floor.
