Cultural Resource Assistant Volunteer

This volunteer position will provide a variety of needed assistance to park cultural resources staff in performing tasks that are ideally accomplished with the help of a second person, such as assessing more remote cultural sites in the park and recording archeological sites. Also assist in tasks that will facilitate the staff with completing projects, such as processing artifacts for curation. Goal is to provide a needed helping hand to cultural resources staff while learning more about the park and cultural resources protected.
This volunteer position will allow the opportunity to learn more about the park cultural resources, and the methods and procedures required to care for these resources. There will be some on-the-job training in order to properly assist with these various tasks.
Volunteers are expected to wear identifying clothing (DEWA Volunteer Uniform items) to indicate their volunteer status and proper personal protective equipment (PPE) depending on the activity they are performing.
