Our volunteers play a very important part in our organization by assisting our staff to enhance the patient experience. Our volunteers represent all segments of our community. They range in age from 14 to 90 and come from all parts of the Valley.

We have many different opportunities available as well as many options for times to volunteer, however we are looking for a commitment of at least three to six months. Come see our new west valley campus at St. Josephs Westgate at 99th Ave and Glendale. We always need volunteers for nights and weekends as well as during the daytime. The following is just a sampling of the types of volunteer opportunities we have available:

* Greet and assist patients and their families at our information desks

* Provide directional assistance to patients and escort them through the hospital

* Assist with special events and special projects

* Help keep families of our patients having surgery comfortable while they are waiting

* Assist patients with comfort items such as water, ice, warm blankets, or perhaps just a short visit

* Meet and greet patients and families, or run errands for staff, or stock rooms in our busy cancer center

* Level 1 Trauma Center ER looks for pre-med students to assist with stocking of supplies, linens, blankets, some minimal patient interaction

* Assist with activities and outings for our Alzheimer's Assisted Living facility residents located about 7 miles from the hospital
