Shelters to Shutters (S2S) is looking for volunteers to assist individuals or families transitioning from homelessness with improving their resume(s) to better qualify for employment opportunities.
Shelters to Shutters clients are re-entering the workforce after experiencing homelessness, and they are often overwhelmed at the prospect of creating and/or updating their resumes. They would greatly benefit from the help of a compassionate volunteer who could guide them through this experience.
This Volunteer Resume writer can perform their duties in-person or virtually.
Requirements
- Must be over the age of 21.
- Be willing to take a background check.
- Professional resume writing experience is advantageous but not required.
- Must have strong Microsoft Words skills and have some experience with resume development, even if only personal experience
- Able to attend a volunteer information session, where you will learn more about the mission of the agency and your role as a Volunteer Resume Writer.
