- A group opportunity. Invite your friends.
The Georgia Heartland Humane Society hosts an adoption booth featuring dogs and cats at the Georgia Renaissance Festival every weekend from April 12th to June 1st, 2025. We are seeking volunteers to showcase adoptable pets, engage in games, collect donations, sell raffle tickets, and create enjoyable experiences for our guests.
Themed costumes will be provided for volunteers each weekend. However, if you have your own costume fitting a different theme, you're welcome to wear it. You can sign up for as many weekends as you'd like.
Volunteers will receive free admission to the festival and parking. Join us in making a difference for our furry friends!

Mission Statement
To work to end the suffering of dogs and cats resulting from abuse, neglect, ignorance and pet overpopulation. To advocate the humane treatment of animals through (1) rescue of abandoned, neglected, and abused animals; (2) a spay/neuter assistance program; (3) promoting community awareness through humane education and (4) initiation and support of positive changes in local community municipal codes and state law regarding animal protection . Many of the animals that become a part of our program would not survive without our help. We rescue injured animals that are unable to get the help they require to heal and we rescue abused animals that don't know comfort and kindness and love.
Description
Georgia Heartland Humane Society is a nonprofit agency which receives no government assistance. Our organization relies sole ly on the generosity of the public, striving to maintain its strong fundraising efforts within the community and with area businesses and corporations. We do not operate a shelter, but offer services to the residents of our community and their companion animals. Our volunteers are passionate in their belief that all pets deserve loving families and are working towards accomplishing that goal through community service programs.
