Join us at The Actors Theatre Workshop (ATW), an award-winning nonprofit theatre

company and educational institution with a 32-year history of innovative, life-changing programming for New York City’s housing insecure youth and the broader community. At ATW, we are deeply committed to the ideal that theatre can transform how we relate to one another and ourselves.

We are looking for enthusiastic and professional volunteers proficient in writing and editing to join our Grant Department Team. In this role, volunteers will help with the grant-writing process to secure funding for our award-winning Builders of the New World (BNW) after-school arts program for housing-insecure children. Our team is implementing a new Corporate Partnership Program with NYC based companies that want to collaborate with ATW and provide their employees with an opportunity to serve as volunteer mentors in our children’s program. As a Grant Department volunteer you will identify potential partner corporations and sponsors, write proposals and grant applications, and reach out to new corporate partners, all while working together with members of our highly engaged team. Most importantly, we are interested in resourceful, articulate volunteers who can passionately communicate about our programs.
