Recruiting Organization: The City of Fairfax Theatre Company

For the past twelve years, the City of Fairfax Theatre Company has provided theatre programming that enriches, educates and connects our community by producing shows and educational opportunities for all ages. Our recent seasons have received rave reviews for our productions, including 12 WATCH nominations in our first year for our 2019 productions of Beauty and the Beast and The (curious case of the) Watson Intelligence, including wins for Outstanding Scenic Design and the Lena Hall Award for Outstanding Ensemble.

Since reorganizing in 2013, we have seen growth in the number of shows produced, revenue from ticket sales and donations, and sold-out educational opportunities like our summer drama camps.

Currently, CFTC is looking for passionate individuals who are committed to the performing arts in Northern Virginia to join our Board of Directors in 2022, as we take on new and creative challenges to expand and improve our work!

The Director of Grant Writing is primarily responsible for the strategic development, implementation, and management of an aggressive grant submission calendar, including the coordination of interdepartmental communications to draft applications and reports, as well as an ongoing grants research campaign and identification of government grants and contracts for services program. This position will also be responsible for some grant and report writing as appropriate. Reports to the Fundraising Chair.
