As the Outreach and Events Coordinator, you will represent TFBB and work with the Executive Director to develop and implement initiatives that increase company visibility within the surrounding community. You will develop a strategy for building partnerships to expand the reach and impact of TFBB’s mission and vision and proactively network for new community contacts with the intention of building ongoing, long-term relationships. Additionally, you will create and execute an events plan to include volunteer/donor appreciation as well as fundraising.

To be successful in this role, you should present outstanding communication skills with a friendly, enthusiastic, and positive attitude. You should also be detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects at a time. You must be self-motivated and demonstrate an ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

It is anticipated that the Outreach and Events Coordinator will spend 2-4 hours a week working independently with 2-4 hours of team meetings and collaborative work each month.

The Free Book Buggie is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that accepts, sorts, stores and distributes new and pre-loved children's books across the Twin Cites and beyond. We partner with over 90 other organizations to provide age-appropriate books to under-resourced families and communities through various creative avenues. The need is great and we would love your help in supporting our mission.

Description

The Free Book Buggie is a non profit that is passionate about books and sharing the love of reading with all children. Our goal is to provide age-appropriate books that show children reading is fun, allow them to dream, learn, go on adventures, and be empowered to shape their future.

What we do:

  • collect thousands of donated books
  • sort our books by reading levels, baby up to high school chapter
  • fill the Buggie with books & travel to events across the Twin Cities
  • empower children to choose books THEY like
  • volunteer "reading buddies" provided at certain events
  • supply children's books to organizations in need
  • partner with over 300 organizations
  • restock empty Little Free Libraries!
We have no boundaries when it comes to giving books and spreading the love of reading to children.
