Visions Day Program

We have need of 3 types of volunteers. Volunteer help duties are various depending on which class you join.

  • Assistant Volunteers - Help Visions Day Program Instructors in activities during scheduled classes.
  • Lunch Volunteers - Assist Visions Day Program Assistant Directors in supervising a room during lunch.
  • Instructor Volunteers - Help Visions Day Program Assistant Directors. Plan a curriculum you are comfortable instructing to a Visions Day Program class and Instruct on a schedule that you coordinate with the Visions Assistant Director.

3 Shifts

  • morning / 08:30 AM to 11:30 AM
    Day Program Classroom Help Volunteer
  • 11:30 AM to 12:30 AM
  • afternoon / 12:30 PM to 03:00 PM
    Day Program Classroom Help Volunteer

Jobs, homes and fun! ​WATCH was founded in 1972 by a group of parents and teachers who knew that adults with intellectual disabilities needed support to live productive and happy lives as integral members of our community. It has grown over the past 40+ years to now support 180 people who live in Tuolumne, Calaveras and Mariposa Counties. WATCH is a Non-profit Charitable Organization that is governed by a volunteer board of directors. Our annual budget is over $3,000,000 and we have a staff of 57 dedicated professionals.

Description

Building Self-Sufficiency

WATCH can help you find and keep a job. Paid work is available in the Visions program or through our Supported Employment Program.

Learn to make your own lunch, crochet a baby blanket for your nephew or send email to your family. WATCH has a menu of classes that changes three times a year.

Supported Employment - A job coach will help you at your job in the community.

Visions - A learning environment with a job training component. Each trimester you choose the classes or work areas you're interested in. You set the goals for each area with your support team.
