Mission Statement
The Harrie P. Woodson Memorial Library is a public library, owned and operated by the City of Caldwell, Texas. As the Caldwell community continues to grow and adapt to the vast changes happening in the Brazos Valley, our small library is destined to become the hub for our community. In all that we do, we strive to provide our patrons with access to resources; enhance opportunities for education; inspire innovation throughout our community; and excel in providing high quality community services to all. Caldwell is at the forefront of rural community innovation; our community services and programs stem from the library and provide partnerships with community organizations and programs throughout the Brazos Valley. Building a network and creating better partnerships allows our community members to become empowered for greatness.
Description
In addition to circulating books and other materials as well as providing access to computers and wifi, the library offers a number of programs and services to the community. We offer access to GED/ESL classes, one-on-one literacy and US citizenship tutoring, a digital skills clinic for adults, a literary club just for children, storytimes, book signings of local authors, and designated activities for homeschoolers. We also bring programming to local organizations, as part of our outreach efforts. Programs and services are being added monthly.
