ORGANIZATION: Rider SOS Accident Fund

The Assistant Fundraising Coordinator will help the Fundraising Coordinator
with all aspects of planning events, increasing donations, developing
promotional campaigns, overseeing the many activities at the actual
fundraising events, and working with volunteers to ensure successful events.

Specific Duties:
❖ Fundraising Analysis. The Fundraising Committee reviews all
fundraising activities to determine what was successful and should be
repeated in the coming year. The coordinator will assist in the
complete analysis of each event and program in collaboration with the
fundraising chair, treasurer, and President to complete this analysis
quickly.
❖ Review/Revise Annual Fundraising Plan. The Fundraising committee
assists the staff in reviewing and revising the Annual Fundraising Plan
to meet the nonprofit’s revenue and resource development goals. The
coordinator will be very hands-on in the preparation and execution of
this.
❖ Assist in engaging Board members and volunteers in resource
development and education. The Fundraising committee helps the
entire board make connections, spread the word, advocate for the
mission, and network in the community. The committee, along with the
Executive Director or President, may call on individual Board members
to assist in cultivating and stewarding individual donors.
❖ Plan, Execute, and Manage all facets of various fundraising events.
❖ Create a fundraising Calendar for the team to create a media schedule
and theme for graphics to coordinate with each campaign to provide to
design. Work with other team members to fully execute each
campaign.
❖ Update Board Fundraising Agreement and present to the Board in
January for signatures.
❖ Track the Board’s participation in fundraising and offer support as
needed
❖ Provide support, training, materials, and fundraising advice to fellow
team members, ensuring they adhere to best practice fundraising
policies and motivating them to achieve the best results.
❖ Help identify new potential donors and organize initiatives to increase
donations.
❖ Develop and maintain relationships while training volunteers to ensure
they are empowered and supported throughout their fundraising
activities.
❖ Generate awareness of our charity partners initiatives by effectively
communicating to community members during promotional events.
❖ Assist in the grant writing process and research and development of
possible grant opportunities.

Mission Statement

Rider SOS Accident Fund is a group of committed individuals that focus on the support of injured motorcyclists and the families of the fallen after a motorcycle accident. We are also committed to creating education and awareness of the motorcycle community starting from the youngest future rider on up to our active senior community.

Description

Rider SOS was created in 2018 after having done the work for over 10 years without a formal organization. Since it's inception, Rider SOS is the first completely fee free resource for riders in the community. We do not charge anyone for any of our services. We are an all volunteer board and will remain that way. Rider SOS has assisted over 120 riders with after accident related expenses. We have also donated the use of over 80 pieces of durable medical equipment at no charge. Every holiday season we adopt families that are still struggling from their accident, and we have proudly delivered Christmas to over 90 children in just 3 years time! In addition we are a community partner in the Fill the Bus program, and in 2021 we are proud to say we assisted in collecting over 1,500 gifts for children in need! Over 300 fridges have been filled, hundreds of dinners delivered, many pets walked or cared for, all when the owners needed it most. No one should have to worry about the small stuff after an accident, we are here to make sure fellow riders do not have to worry.
