Are you bilingual? Have a passion for helping people? Heartland Hospice is seeking bilingual individuals to visit our patients. Some of our patients do not have family and would love a visit from a volunteer.

What is hospice care?

Hospice is designed to provide comfort care as well as spiritual and emotional support to people in the final phase of a terminal illness. Hospice stresses human values that go beyond the physical needs, so that each client can spend their final days in dignity and comfort.

What will you do?

You will become an important part of a support team of volunteers and professionals assuring that your fellow volunteers are recognized for their efforts and kept up to date on their client's needs.

• Provide relief for family caregivers
• Read to patient
• Play cards or games
• Play instrumental music
• Pray with patient
• Provide companionship
