We have two Museum buildings - both are old cottages that have been moved to their current locations. One Docent serves at each cottage. The two cottages have quite different exhibits, but each reflects the history of Wrightsville Beach. We provide a Docent Manual which gives detailed information on the contents of the two museums as well as the history of Wrightsville Beach.

The Docent's primary "job" is to greet visitors, give them a brief tour of the museum, try to answer their questions, and make them feel welcome. Some of our visitors have never before visited Wrightsville Beach (or Wilmington). some have lived here for many years, and some grew up here many years ago. They all have something in common...an interest in and curiosity about Wrightsville Beach and its history.
