Recruiting Organization: Literacy Coalition of Central Texas
Texas Legal Services Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to ensure equal justice for all Texans by educating, empowering, and representing vulnerable people while reshaping the greater legal system that impacts us all. With more than a dozen programs, our work touches almost every aspect of civil law that impacts low-income Texans. At TLSC the member will:
- create and implement a volunteer program that allows TLSC to expand its educational reach and services
- develop a comprehensive manual detailing policies and procedures to span the volunteer lifecycle
- audit and document suggestion for improvements on the nascent volunteer program
- survey current social media/outreach efforts, then develop and implement a sustainable growth strategy
- monitor social media and content campaigns to measure effectiveness and make changes as necessary
- create and implement an internal communications strategy that enhances connection and dissemination of information across administration and programs
- utilize online platforms and tools to establish more effective discourse and collaboration in a blended remote/in-person work environment

Position requirements: social media experience, tech-savvy, exceptional written and verbal communication, organized and attentive to detail, creative thinker. Bachelor’s degree.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
This position is a one-year, full-time national service position with AmeriCorps VISTA and the Literacy Coalition of Central Texas. Benefits include:
- a monthly stipend of around $1,200/mo
