LBFE's Visiting Volunteer Program is our most impactful program that gives volunteers the opportunity to build a lasting and meaningful friendship with an isolated older adult. We are looking for fully vaccinated + boosted volunteers who are interested in being paired up 1:1 with an older adult to build a reciprocal, lasting friendship.
All volunteers will be required to complete a one-time volunteer orientation, clear a background check, sign an attestation form, and attend an additional training for this program specifically.
If you are interested in participating in this program, please email Debbie Uchida at duchida@littlebrotherssf.org or sign up for an LBFE volunteer orientation here: https://forms.gle/ bvFHryrwwznmDm319.

Description
Little Brothers - Friends of the Elderly (LBFE) is committed to enriching the lives of lonely and isolated older adults in San Francisco. Virtually all of our services are carried out by individual volunteers; community, civic, and religious groups; and the business community. LBFE offers flexible and diverse volunteer opportunities, and volunteers can choose to make weekly, monthly, or seasonal time commitments.
LBFE has been supporting an incredible project called 80 over 80.
80 over 80 is a series of interviews that celebrates 80 people, living in San Francisco, who have passed the remarkable milestone of reaching 80. It includes the incredible stories and experiences of some of our wonderful LBFE Older Adults. Check our their stories here: https://80over80sf.org/80over80-stories
