Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Boston (JBBBS) is seeking a Big Brother for Andre, a 14-year-old Black cisgender boy who lives with his family in Walpole. In his words, Andre would like to be matched with "a Black Big Brother who is nice, funny, a chill person, who likes sports." Andre enjoys basketball, football, art, music, building things, playing video games, watching sports, and spending time with his family. Andre is described as "one of the nicest kids you’ll meet" and can be shy at first but outgoing once someone gets to know him. Andre hopes to find an active and easygoing Big of color to help him navigate his teenage years and explore new activities and interests in the community. With his BIG, Andre looks forward to playing basketball or throwing a football, going out to eat, going bowling or doing art, and playing board games. The best fit BIG would be a patient, kind adult between the ages of 25-45 who shares Andre's interest in sports. (A Big with pets or who smokes would not be a good fit due to Andre’s allergies).
Could you be the right match? Apply now (www.jbbbs.org/volunteer), or email tania@jbbbs.org with any questions! Bigs commit to meeting with their Littles twice/month (mostly weekends) for at least a year. JBBBS is proud to welcome all religions, races, ethnicities, abilities, gender identities, and sexual orientations. Car and valid license required. Clinical Match Support and training provided.
