Coordinates volunteers for the African Doula Project in north St Louis to improve Black infant and maternal health. Assist the Project Coordinator in planning and carrying out orientations, community outreach and workshops training 20 new birthing assistants including business development training.
Responsible for all aspects of volunteer recruitment and training. Responsible for recruiting outreach/promotions volunteers who promote the African Doula Project on the ground to the community, as well as onsite farmers market volunteers who staff the Doula booth. Recruit volunteers to staff community events (in-person and online webinars) and community committee meetings. Implements recruitment plan. Builds a volunteer team to ensure all positions are filled. This is a limited project that ends in September.
