Mission Statement

OUR MISSION: To address the issue of suicide in the uniformed services by promoting resilience through a healthy mind, body, and spirit.

Description

Call for Backup began as a Suicide Awareness and Prevention campaign in November of 2017, and expanded into a variety of training programs relating to crisis, trauma, and resilience, eventually becoming a nonprofit organization in late 2018. Since the earliest days, we have been invited to teach for first responders and military personnel across the country in approximately 25 states. We also engage in social media and through articles posted on our website to help educate first responders and others on the importance of building resilience against the stresses of the job, and providing encouragement to seek help when the struggles become too difficult. Our desire has been to keep all of our training programs either free or offered at the lowest cost possible to cover the expenses of providing that training. One of our current goals is to grow our funding sources in order to continue providing free and low cost training.
