Grant Writer

Cyberninjaz Global ( https://cyberninjaz.com ) is looking for a part-time grant writer. We are a small non-profit, 501(c)(3), in the DC/MD area. Our mission is to provide STEAM (STEM + art) education to underrepresented youth (and adults). We run an annual summer camp in Potomac, MD circa. 2015, various after school programs both in-person and virtual around the DMV, and we are planning to expand into Baltimore, MD this upcoming summer 2022.

We have a small team of four board members/officers, and four other seasonal instructors. We also rely on volunteer help and support from partner organizations, schools, and municipalities.

We are looking for someone with expertise to help us secure grants for 2022, 2023, and the future.

We are looking for someone who can spend a couple hours a week finding and submitting grants on our behalf. You will be expected to work somewhat independently, but keep us apprised of your progress, and ask for help as needed.

Basically we are looking for someone to help take the task of grant writing primarily out of our hands, so we focus on our other responsibilities, as well as someone with more experience and expertise in fundraising.

If you are interested (or know anyone who is), you can reach me at

About CYBERNINJAZ GLOBAL INC

Location:

1949 Alabama Ave SE, Washington, DC 20020, US

Mission Statement

Cyberninjaz Global, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) educational non-profit dedicated to closing the digital divide by providing STEAM (STEM + Art) learning opportunities to kids and adults of all backgrounds. We are especially focused on underrepresented kids in Washington, DC.

Description

Established in 2014, Cyberninjaz started as a Tech and Fitness Summer Camp in Potomac, MD where we taught (and still teach) game design, programming, digital art, 3D animation, video production, editing, and special effects, digital music production and composition, and much more!

We love teaching children. Our focus is on practical skills while heavily encouraging creativity and independence. Our goal is to provide a fun and relaxing atmosphere instead of a stressful one so our young learners grow to associate positive emotions with learning. We also promote both our student's individuality and the power of team work. It's absolutely amazing to see what kids can accomplish given the right environment and support!

Along with our summer camp which is still going strong, we now also provide a multitude of year long programs including in school programs, after school programs, virtual class, private tutoring, and community events.

Our current goals are to expand our programs so we can reach more students, to provide career opportunities for educators and other members of our community, and eventually to start our own schools/universities modeled after our student's success.
