This is an opportunity to help give back to Newcomb Academy, a K-8th LBUSD school. This event is sponsored by the PTSA and will help provide field trips, uniforms, assemblies, equipment, and several other amenities to the students of Newcomb. This event is an amazing school and community event where we promote fitness as something fun and inclusive rather than just work. This event hosts a competitive 5k plus an awesome 1k for the kids and the best toddler dash. We also provide a pancake breakfast to all the participants and volunteers.
We will need volunteers to pass out medals, water, help clean up the eating area, be course marshals, direct traffic, and help with registration, along with many other duties.

Run Like It's Recess is annual event hosted by Newcomb Academy PTSA, which serves Newcomb Academy.
The fundraiser is a way to promote health and fitness to the entire community. This family-friendly event is open to all ages and fitness levels. We This event is stroller and wheelchair friendly. All proceeds from this event will benefit the Newcomb PTSA.
