Job Description: A perfect role for someone interested in working for a nonprofit and working with volunteers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop relationships with Doing Good volunteers.
  • This position requires no direct management of volunteers. Their board members manage their specific activities. However, this role supports them in other ways by providing Doing Good introductions and support as needs arise. (Example: Introduces the volunteer to the IT department via email.)
  • Call, text, and email Doing Good volunteers using a Doing Good email address and Google Voice number.
  • Partner closely with the Executive Director.
  • Participate in Doing Good meetings if/as would like.
  • Use Google Drive and Zoom.

Qualifications:

  • Exemplify qualities of honesty, integrity and sound moral character.
  • Have a sincere passion for doing good in the community.
  • Be a visionary committed to the young organization’s success.

Board Member Requirements

  • All Doing Good board members are asked to live in Tennessee.
  • Passion for, understanding of and experienced in writing, human interest stories, volunteers and/or volunteerism.
  • Think strategically as a board member and be hands-on with the committee.
  • Donate to Doing Good.
  • Participate in Board Meetings.
  • Participate in Doing Good events.
  • Nominate annually at least 1 Featured Volunteer.
  • Participate in Board votes online and offline.
  • Think strategically as a board member and be hands-on with the committee.


Time Involved:
Approximately 4 hours/month, though it will vary.
