Mission Statement

The Single Parent Scholarship Fund in Fulton, Sharp, Jackson, Woodruff, Cleburne, Independence, Izard, and Stone county assists low-income single parents move from a life of dependency - to one of self-sufficiency as they become tax-paying professionals proudly supporting their families on their own. We accomplish this by assisting single parents complete their two- or four-year college degrees or professional certificates, opening doors to new employment at wages above the poverty level. We provide support to single parents living in poverty as they work to complete a career-focused degree or professional training certificate. Using hands-on development workshops provided in each county to all participants, we help parent(s) to graduate, secure a good job with family-supporting wages and raise their family out of poverty.

Description

We are a non profit dedicated to empowering single parents to success through education. We have awarded over 42,000 scholarships throughout the state of Arkansas and with dedicated volunteers and supporters we are continuing to make a difference in the lives of single parents today.
