Any skill you have is relevant and important to the rural poor women, children and youths in Uganda. You can support us in management, planning, gardening, mushroom growing, agroforestry, teaching, construction and any other thing available.
We give you chance to think and be innovative. In case you need, you can manage your own project
  You will support us in promoting contract farming while growing organic soya bean in Hoima and Kibaale distrits
 Sustainable agriculture farming methods. You will help the organisation to set up and manage standard agriculture demonstration sites at the Hoima office.
 You will promote and educate rural poor community members (women and youth groups in the field) about permaculture, organic farming and agro-forestry.
 Construction: You will take part in the different Eco-Friendly construction projects that the organization has in Hoima
 You will support the organization to work with women and children to improve their living conditions
 Education. You will help the organisation in supporting the poor children, at San Martino Primary School. Activities with the children include school gardening, and spending time with the vulnerable children in primary and nursery schools, physical education, teaching English, maths or social studies. The organisation will support and help you to make your ideas come true and help the children.
 Please come ready to visit the different touristic sites in Uganda
 Health. You will take part in our activities around behaviour change communication, Sexual Reproductive Health, Hypertension, Diabates, HIV/AIDS prevention, or nutrition education. You can also support us by working in the surrounding health centers in the area
 Management. You will help in designing and implementing different projects. You can assist the programs manager at the office for a variety of tasks, from reporting, to making work plans, plus helping with the coordination of a project.
 Please come ready to visit the different touristic sites in Uganda
 You will support health work in near by health centers.

We are a Ugandan Non-Governmental Organisation that was established in 2015 to support poor vulnerable women, girls, children and youths most especially the rural farmers, vulnerable children, women, youth, people living with HIV/AIDS or affected by natural catastrophes. We aim at improving community livelihoods through education improvement, sustainable agricultural production; environmental conservation; health education and promotion; economic empowerment and nutrition; skills development and educational support.

The organisation has well established offices and volunteer’s accommodation in Wakiso district of central Uganda, Hoima district near Lake Albert and Kibaale district in south western Uganda. In Wakiso, we have activities and accommodation for six volunteers. In Hoima district, activities and accommodation for twelve volunteers and in Kibaale activities and accommodation for six volunteers. In Hoima and Wakiso, we have lovely beautiful cottages with beautiful scenery.

Since our establishment, we have designed and implemented a number of projects with major donors such as Amplify-Change, LATEK-Stay Alliance, Urgent Action Fund, World Wide Fund, United Nations Development Programe the USAID among others from which we have supported several thousands of beneficiaries.
We have special programs like promoting organic vegetable/soya bean growing, mushroom growing, vocational training/skills development among the youths, promoting agroforestry among communities plus a primary school called San Martino Primary school that supports over 380 children.

Our staff and volunteers are empathetic, foster professionalism in delivery of its services; cherish team work; emphasizes accountability to all our internal and external stakeholders; provide services in an inclusive manner while taking into account the social, cultural, political, religious and other demographic diversities of the population it serves. They also emphasize equality for all and equity through delivering according to needs.
The organization also provides internship programs to both local and international people. You can choose to concentrate on one project or a number of projects, depending on your length of stay and interests.

Since our inception, we have hosted over one hundred and twenty volunteers from all over the world, most specifically from France, Germany, Israel, Italy, Kosovo, the Netherlands, Spain, the United Kingdom, Ukrain, Canada, Katalonia the United States and many other places.

We always ensure that your volunteership is enjoyable and comfortable, not just about your time working on projects but also the time spent experiencing Uganda, it’s people and the many activities that are available. Some of the activities include visiting the different rocks in Kibaale, mountain Gorillas and chimpanzeees and travelling to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to track endangered rhinos. You can take a safari to see the big 5, the variety of birdlife, wild waterfalls and scenery ranging from beautiful open savannas, to spectacular mountains and forests thick with lush vegetation. A favorite with volunteers is to visit the source of the Nile River and go white water rafting or cruise Lake Victoria. Hoima is near to Murchison Falls National Park, Lake Albert, Kibiro and Bugoma forest, places you can visit easily. You can always find someone willing to talk to you about their home and life, and enjoy hearing about where you come from since Ugandan people are extremely friendly and welcoming.

Profile Statement:

The Environmental Conservation & Agricultural Enhancement Uganda (Eco-Agric Uganda) is a registered Organisation under the Uganda registrar of Companies - as a Company Limited by Guarantee with no share capital. The organisation was established in 2007 and enjoys over 7 years experience in providing services related to capacity building, research, and trainings in livelihood improvement sectors such as agriculture, entrepreneurship and financial management, health, environmental conservation, and oil and gas governance.

The organisation cherishes and builds on 5 core values which include; a) Transparency and Accountability; b) Innovativeness & Professionalism; c) Partnerships and Networking; d) Gender equality; and e) Commitment to Sustainable Development of communities that takes into account contemporary cross cutting issues like HIV/AIDS, Climate Change, Oil and Gas Development, MDGS, and National Development Plans and Strategies.

Offices/Location:

The organisation has two offices, that is, (i) Field Coordination Office in Hoima Town Council, Hoima District; and (ii) Head Office at Najjera, Kira Town Council, Wakiso District.
