Recruiting Organization: Most Mira
The organisation
Most Mira means Bridge of Peace, and that is what we do - we help to build bridges between divided communities in Bosnia especially in the rural Northwest. Most Mira brings together children and young people to learn new skills, make friends across ethnicities, and celebrate diversity to help build a peaceful future
We do that through youth arts festivals, theatre workshops, peace building visits and tours and architectural workshops. Our aim is to grow and diversify our range of creative and inclusive activities for young people and establish a permanent hub, a Peace Center in Kevljani village near Prijedor.
The position
We are looking for people with a background in journalism, web design, communications and/or media studies who can help build our social media presence. We have Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Linked in accounts to manage and want to set up a schedule to start posting regularly.
With support from the Charity Coordinator, Communications Volunteers develop and implement a communications plan for the next two years while we fundraise to build the Peace Center. We hope to start a quarterly newsletter which we use to highlight our work.
We are always open to new ideas and suggestions, so there is room for you to use your own creativity in this position! A key to success in this role is to be highly motivated, self-directed and results driven. There are no set office hours.
