ORGANIZATION: ATLANTA BOTANICAL GARDEN Gainesville

The Garden hosts family festivals, concerts, garden parties, adult classes and other events throughout the year. From running activity stations and handing out snacks/drinks to ushering and scanning tickets, volunteers help with a variety of positions during these events.
Family Festivals duties may include: checking in guests, providing wristbands and/or raffle tickets, assisting at different stations throughout the event (crafts-food/beverage), Garden Ambassador duties, Lobby Greeter duties, etc.
Concert duties may include: scanning tickets, assisting at merchandise tents, assisting with food/beverages, assisting with restroom cleanliness/crowd control, Lobby Greeter, Garden Ambassador, etc.
There are many ways that you can contribute your time and skills in assisting with Special Events.
Special Events volunteers are posted on an as needed basis.

The mission of the Atlanta Botanical Garden Gainesville is to develop and maintain plant collections for display, education, research, conservation and enjoyment.

Description

The Atlanta Botanical Garden is a private, non-profit organization governed by a board of trustees. Mary Pat Matheson is the Garden’s President/CEO. ABG is located on 30 acres of land, leased from the City of Atlanta, adjacent to Piedmont Park. The Garden’s Mission is to develop and maintain plant collections for display, education, research, conservation and enjoyment. The Gainesville location, opened in 2015, celebrates years of planning and development of one of North Georgia’s most beautiful landscapes aimed at connecting visitors with both the natural world and cultural amenities. It is home to the largest conservation nursery in the Southeast
