We are looking for a versatile volunteer fundraising coordinator to manage the organization fundraising and event programs to generate revenue for OLH internship opportunities. Includes cultivating relationships with corporate partners.

The right person for this role will have experience with brainstorming, researching and screen new funding opportunities while displaying strong verbal, writing and editing skills with the ability to translate our unique mission for support. This person is capable of identifying mission and business alignment opportunities and develops a robust industry pipeline for long term support.

Areas of Responsibility

  • Help manage fundraising partnership and sponsorship activities. This includes solicitation, acknowledgement, education and ongoing cultivation of existing donors and sponsors.

  • Develops online and print outreach materials that will define partnership benefits and report partner/sponsor impacts.

  • Performs continuous research and outreach to potential, current and lapsed partners with customized outreach strategies. Stays tuned into industry trends.

  • Helps plan and coordinate special events with sponsorship partners. Finds well-aligned sponsors and partners for these events that will generate revenue and promote our brand.

  • Partners with President and Board Members to research, develop and submit funding proposals.

  • Keeps databases updated with partners and sponsorship.

Skills/Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in fundraising

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Strong verbal, writing and editing skills with the ability to translate our mission into compelling cases for support

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to connect with diverse audiences in terms of age, race, gender, sexual orientation, socio-economic status and more.

  • Experience using Google Docs, Google Sheets and Google Slides

  • Self-directed and comfortable working independently and with a team

  • Strong attention to detail

  • The ability to manage multiple priorities at one time

  • Willingness to share feedback and reflections with peers and leadership directly in a way that can support shared resolution

  • The ability to receive and implement feedback and coaching

Our Legacy Harvested was founded in 2020 to educate, advance, and empower the BIPOC community in the wine industry. We work with individuals at any career level to advance their knowledge, expertise and opportunities in wine.

Description

Founded in 2020, Our Legacy Harvested set out on a mission to ensure tasting rooms, cellars, and vineyards better reflect the diverse world of wine. Our program focuses on BIPOC individuals at any career level who want to advance their knowledge and expertise in the wine community. The selected interns will be placed with a winery for four months in either direct-to-consumer (spring) or production (fall) roles. The paid internship includes housing, transportation, mentorship, and community/industry activities. Our mission is based out of the Willamette Valley in Oregon.
