PeaceWorks Inc . (PWI) is a non-profit community anti-violence advocacy organization that has been providing confidential crisis support and safe shelter services to people experiencing relationship violence in the Central Mountains and throughout Colorado for over 35 years. The organization is currently recruiting for its Board of Directors, as well as a new Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Advisory Board.

PeaceWorks’ mission is to advocate for ALL survivors, their children and companion animals, of intimate partner violence/abuse, sexual assault, sex trafficking, teen dating violence, and stalking. PeaceWorks’ provides inclusive services for ALL, including crisis intervention, emergency shelter, culturally responsive and trauma-informed advocacy, and local prevention and education to create social change. PWI is seeking people with a passion for social justice to serve on our Board of Directors and Advisory Boards**. For the Board of Directors, a time commitment of about 10 - 12 hours per month is necessary to oversee strategy, oversight, and accountability and support fundraising efforts for this dynamic organization.

For the DEI Advisory Board, about 5 hours per month is requested to support the development of DEI goals; review PWI policies and procedures and operating policies with an equity lens, and provide feedback on improvements that could support the organization in achieving the goals.
