Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwestern Ohio’s mission is to provide children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported one-to-one mentoring relationships that change their lives for the better, forever. A Volunteer Match Support Specialist’s responsibility is to provide support for those relationships, primarily through phone calls and emails, to ensure the following: child safety; positive impacts for youth; constructive and satisfying relationships between volunteers, children, and families; and a strong sense of affiliation with BBBSNWO, especially on the part of volunteers.

The Volunteer Match Support Specialist reports directly to the Program Manager. This position is a minimum of 6 hours per month, which may include some after-hours shifts to 7 p.m. Hours between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday-Friday and are determined by the need of the agency. Occasional weekend hours may be required. We build volunteer shift schedules around their professional and personal schedules.
