Recruiting Organization: Be Ready Alliance Coordinating for Emergencies (BRACE)

The Volunteer Coordinator will enhance the ability of BRACE to expand and develop systems to sustain a volunteer program. This will allow the organization to expand volunteer engagement in Citizen Corps, CERT, Emergency Support Function 15, Preparedness, Response, Recovery, Mitigation, Homebound and Functional Needs Support Services throughout the counties in Florida covered by the program before, during and after disasters. Implement a system for screening and matching volunteers to needs of BRACE and partners. Coordinate the development of a volunteer committee that will ensure that volunteer policies, procedures, and standard operations are followed. Maintain files, training records and emergency contact information for all volunteers. Create volunteer CERT volunteer teams that are prepared to deploy in times of disasters

Member Duties : Do you like to work with people? Are you outgoing? Are you good at recruiting people? If you answered yes to all the above then we need you. We are looking for a VISTA Volunteer Coordinator to recruit local, state, and national volunteers that will be trained to assist in many areas of service before, during and after disasters. Once recruited, engagement opportunities for volunteer cadre will be regularly provided, as well as detailed tracking of all volunteer hours will be reported.
