Be Ready Alliance Coordinating for Emergencies (BRACE) is a community-based disaster coalition that leads in emergency preparedness, response, and recovery efforts in Escambia County. We train and mobilize volunteers, and collaborate with local, regional, and national partners to ensure the disaster readiness of our community. BRACE works to ensure that low income and vulnerable persons are provided prompt and supportive emergency assistance following a major disaster or emergency; enhance the resilience of persons living in poverty to disaster and other emergencies and build organizational, community and regional capacity to ensure vital services will be available to low-income families during future disasters and emergencies.

Must be in person in Pensacola, FL have own housing and transportation. Be about to work weekdays and some weekends as needed.

Member Duties : Does educating, training, community involvement & volunteers excite you? The Training Coordinator will build organizational and regional capacity through educating, training, community partnerships, and volunteer service. He/she will handle all aspects of event coordination & preparedness for Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), Teen CERT, Shelter Mgmt, Points of Distribution, First Aid, other BRACE events, as well as additional training that may present itself during their year of service. He/she will collaborate to develop programs for community presentations. He or she will complete CERT and FEMA training, & assist with grant proposals for the CERT program. He/she will keep track of the sign in sheets, documents, and reports required for the position. He or she will also be responsible for maintaining the warehouse of training supplies, obtaining quotes and ordering additional supplies.
