Rebuild Bay Long Term Recovery Group Coordinator VISTA

Rebuild Bay County's mission is to assist the uninsured and under-insured residents of the Panama City, FL area recover from the impacts of Hurricane Michael and other declared emergencies. The role of the VISTA will be to recruit and engage local, state, and national volunteers to assist in the rebuilding efforts associated with the destruction caused by Hurricane Michael. Recruitment through local partner outreach as well as social media recruitment will be vital in attracting volunteers to the community. Additionally, the VISTA will work with LTRG leadership to research and apply for a variety of grant opportunities which will sustain the ongoing recovery efforts for the organization. Applicant will need to have own reliable transportation and housing.

VISTA will assist the LTRG in the assessment of community resident needs and determining how manpower resources are solicited and dispersed to meet those needs. Volunteer recruitment will be accomplished through public speaking opportunities, as well as social media, and other marketing outlets. Additionally, the VISTA will research and assist in the preparation of a variety of grant applications to increase the sustainability of the LTRG as it serves its clients. Bi-weekly living stipend of $575.40 + one time relocation allowance of $750 if moving 50+ miles
