Parma Animal Shelter, an All-Volunteer organization, has a need for morning (9 AM - noon) and evening (5 - 7 PM) cat/kitten area workers. This vital role includes cleaning cat/kitten cages, caring for and socializing the shelter cats/kittens, and interacting with potential adopters. It requires a good rapport with both pets and humans, a positive attitude, and hard work. We cannot accommodate short-term or community service volunteer hours. 2 Shifts

  • 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM
    Some shifts start as early as 8 am - most are two hour
  • 05:00 PM to 07:00 PM
    Some shifts start as early as 4:30 and most are two hours
  • NONE OF THESE TIMES WORK FOR ME, BUT I CAN STILL HELP

Mission Statement

Parma Animal Shelter Inc is an all-volunteer not-for-profit organized for the purpose of preventing abuse, cruelty and neglect of companion animals., educating the public about the importance of spay/neuter, increasing appreciation and understanding of companion animals, reuniting lost pets with their owners, and providing a healthy environment, medical care and ultimately permanent placement in loving homes for lost, abandoned and neglected pets within the City of Parma, Ohio.

Description

The Parma Animal Shelter is run by volunteers for the stray and abandoned animals of the City of Parma. Volunteers dedicate their time to tasks such as walking the dogs, cleaning the shelter, cleaning cages for the dogs and cats, feeding the animals, and giving them love. We also have volunteers that foster some of our animals in their home. We cannot accommodate short-term or community service. Applications must be submitted from our website www.parmashelter.org
