The Salvation Army of Loveland and Berthoud is looking for volunteers with connections in business and non-profit community and knowledge of community resources to serve on the Advisory Board.

Board members advise on wide spectrum of issues including funding, services provided by local Salvation Army, community involvement, partnerships with other organizations, fundraising, organizing annual Red Kettle campaign. Advisory Board meets monthly, first Wednesday of the month at 4:30pm. Time commitment may increase from September to January as board members help with Red Kettle campaign: ring bells at the store fronts in Loveland, count money donations from the red kettles, drive to pick up kettle donations from ten different store locations.

Volunteers are invited to attend Advisory Board meetings to visit and observe prior to making commitment to serve on the Board. Youth are welcome to join the Advisory Board!

Description

Last year, The Salvation Army have given out emergency assistance to 45,595 people in Loveland and Berthoud. Assistance includes emergency shelter and respite lodging at hotels, rent and homelessness prevention, clothing and homeless gear, diapers and baby items, hygiene kits and PPE, food and snacks, pet food, bus passes and gas vouchers, Thanksgiving food baskets and Christmas gifts, youth summer camps, and school supplies.
