Optimist Youth Homes and Family Services has provided care to generations of troubled youth, enabling them to lead meaningful, successful and independent adult lives since 1906. We are seeking Mentors who can provide guidance and help our youth achieve personal and professional growth during one-on-one mentoring sessions. At Optimist, we believe our youth are poised for greatness. Help be a part of the support they need to suceed!

Optimist Youth Homes and Family Services' mission is to provide innovative and individualized treatment, education, and support services to children, young adults and families to better their lives.
Description
OYHFS is committed to giving all children the chance at a bright future, which they so rightly deserve. In combining therapy, education and a nurturing residential living environment, we provide the specialized care and unbounded love and understanding needed by each and every child. Optimist cares for probation and foster youth in our residential program, with five sites throughout Los Angeles County. We also operate a Community Mental Health program, a Foster Family and Adoption program, and as of 2020, a Temporary Shelter Care program for under-sheltered young girls. At Optimist, futures begin here, starting with a home, a family and hope.
