Provide emotional support and compassionate presence to hospice patients and their families by being a Patient Volunteer or provide support as an Administrative Volunteer.
Volunteer hours are flexible and one can volunteer and still attend school! Make a schedule that is convenient for you that also works with the patient/facility visiting hours.
Patients and caregiver support (PPE provided):
- companionship (conversation, reading, listening to music, watching TV, arts & crafts, etc)
- listening
- emotional support
- run errands
Administrative Volunteers can provide help:
- assembling information packets
- filing
- photocopying
- assisting with mailings
- check-in calls to patients/caregivers
