If you are a fluent Spanish Speaker who loves cats, we need your help. At Forgotten Felines of Sonoma County, we provide the vulnerable cats in our community with Spay/Neuter & other vital medical services.
Here are some ideas of how we hope you can help with any or all of the following areas:
-Helping to interpret/write written flyers & directions in Spanish for clients bringing in their cats
-Canvasing: Going to different neighborhoods to leave doorhangers/flyers on our services
-Clinic Intake: Able to attend S/N Clinics on Monday and/or Wednesday from 7:30-9:00AM as needed to help check in Spanish speaking clients for the day
-Clinic Discharge: Able to attend S/N Clinics on Monday and/or Wednesday from 3-5PM as needed to help check out cats to clients & give aftercare instructions
-Phone Help: Taking & returning calls from clients on how to use our services (trap & bring cats in, etc.)
(We are working on an option to have a line where Spanish speaking clients can leave messages, then the volunteer can check them remotely from their cell phone & return their call. The volunteer would be using their own cell phone, but it would appear as an FFSC phone number, not their personal number when talking to clients)
-We will all work together to make sure you are trained & comfortable on how to help the clients & answer questions.
-Vaccinated & boosted against covid-19 if you're working inside an FFSC building
-Family teams welcome! 16+ or older if volunteering alone. Must have reliable transportation to & from volunteering if a minor
