Hospice Celebration Volunteers needed in Marshall County, AL
Encompass Health- Hospice in Marshall County is seeking individuals to provide support to patients and families by celebrating milestone such as birthdays, anniversaries, and/or holidays. By being there, you will also give patients support through socialization and companionship. This opportunity is open to small groups of 3-5 people and youth volunteers (please read requirements for minors below).
At this time only volunteers that have been fully vaccinated for COVID-19 will be allowed enter patient’s homes. NO medical experience needed, volunteers DO NOT perform "hands on" care.
Requirements
Volunteers are welcome to provide assistance during the day, after hours, or on weekends. Volunteer commitment is flexible to volunteer’s schedule.
We provide free training for all of our volunteers. Volunteers must complete the application and orientation processes, which include background screenings, a valid driver’s license, and proof of auto insurance and proof of COVID-19 vaccination. A 2-step TB skin test is required and will be provided by Encompass. Volunteers must have reliable transportation, must be dependable, and have the ability to complete written documentation.
Jr. volunteers ages 14-18 may volunteer as long as they are accompanied and supervised by an adult volunteer.

Enhabit Health-Hospice seeks kind individuals to support patients and families during a most difficult time.
At Enhabit Health we foster a culture of compassion and collaboration encouraging and empowering each employee and volunteer to keep learning and growing together. Our compassionate end-of-life care is provided in the patient’s home, whether that is a home address, nursing home, assisted living community, independent living community or other location. It focuses on the physical, spiritual and emotional needs of both the individual patient and our patients’ loved ones: caregivers, spouses, children, extended family and friends.
Our experienced team understands the complexity of issues and feelings that surround hospice care and end of life. Our care process is designed to maximize our patient’s quality of life and offer our patients and their love ones comfort, support and guidance when facing a terminal illness
Our Goal is to provide a sense of dignity and peace for our patients, while controlling pain, minimizing discomfort and managing symptoms. We also prioritize emotional and spiritual needs, guiding our patients and their loved one through the end-of-life process.
