Help keep the Lan Su Chinese Garden neat and tidy by joining our nook and cranny patrol. Enjoy the garden beauty before visitors arrive. Work closely with the garden's Facilities Department to clear away cobwebs, dust, polish furniture, sweep walkways and buildings, and clean glass.

Volunteer opportunity is weekdays in the mornings before Garden opens. All Lan Su volunteer enjoy free garden entry and 10% off discount at the Garden Shop on the day of volunteer shift.

Starting July 1, 2021, masks are optional for all Lan Su volunteers.

Description

Lan Su Chinese Garden is one of Portland's treasures - a powerfully inspiring experience that takes you through time, offering a window into Chinese culture, history, and way of thinking. Opened in 2000, Lan Su is an authentic Suzhou-style classical Chinese garden with over 300 species of Chinese cultivar plants. Architecture, stone, water, and poetry complete the garden. Built with materials directly from China by Chinese garden designers and artisans, it is an oasis of nature and tranquility in the midst of the city. Lan Su is open 7 days a week for visitors to enjoy. Join our volunteer team committed to creating memorable experiences for our visitors.
