Recruiting Organization: A Faith That Does Justice

Community Engagement Ambassador (~ 4 to 6 hours per week)

A Faith That Does Justice, Inc. (AFTDJ) is an interfaith organization that challenges people to experience God by living their faith intentionally in service to others. We do this by showing how unjust societal structures marginalize people and by acting to help those in need. We aspire to be heard in our communities as the voice of the most vulnerable among us.

The Community Engagement Ambassador is responsible for promoting AFTDJ to marginalized people, institutions, and social service organizations. The increasing reach of AFTDJ and its growing connections and engagement with the communities that it serves are the principal measures of success of the Community Engagement Ambassador.

Our outreach to stakeholders and its related goals are:

  • Marginalized People - Build engagement with communities of marginalized people, provide events that are targeted to marginalized people, and increase their participation in our workshops, community meetings and live stream events.
  • Organizations that Serve Marginalized People - Build partnerships with organizations that served marginalized people, so we are better able to meet the needs of the marginalized and to develop opportunities for our followers to put their faith in action by directly serving the marginalized.
  • Followers - Strengthen our engagement with followers and increase participation at community meetings, workshops, and live stream events.
  • Divinity Schools and Church Leaders - Obtain contributions to The Weekly Word and speaking engagements for Fr. Peter.

The Community Engagement Ambassador works closely with the AFTDJ Director of Community Engagement and other Community Engagement Specialists in carrying out their responsibilities.
