Want to use your management experience to help others and level up your skills? Volunteer with Empower Work!About Empower Work:
Empower Work is on a mission to create healthy workplaces where employees are valued, supported, and empowered. We provide immediate, confidential support for tough work situations. Anyone in the U.S. can connect with a trained peer counselor via text or web chat. Our goal is to help people navigate tricky work questions or tough work problems and come to an outcome they feel comfortable with. Empower Work has been featured in TechCrunch, Forbes, Fast Company, Quartz, and more. Learn more: www.empowerwork.org.
Volunteering with Empower Work:
Volunteers are a critical part of Empower Work. Peer volunteers support people from across the country. Volunteers can field text or web chats from anywhere--your office, couch, or any space you feel comfortable and have secure internet.
Each volunteer commits to at least 2 hours a week for 6 months (some people do more and yes vacations, breaks are totally fine!). We provide robust training that improves your professional skills in active listening, management, and workplace dynamics.
Our current hours are Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 8:00pm PT. Volunteers can schedule flexible shifts during those hours that fit their schedules.
Empower Work’s focus is truly on people. As a mission-driven nonprofit, any revenue goes back to ensuring we remain free and accessible.
One volunteer shared how it's impacted her, "My volunteer experience has significantly changed the way I operate in professional and personal relationships. I'm a better manager and colleague thanks to what I've learned."
