Bernadette's Blossoms Online Mentoring Program helps to empower youth in our community to make positive life choices that enable them to maximize their potential. The mentoring program uses adult volunteers to commit to supporting, guiding, and being a friend to a young person for a period of at least one year. By becoming part of the social network of adults and community members who care about the youth, the mentor can help youth develop and reach positive academic, career, and personal goals.

Mission Statement

Our Mission is to provide a safe and supportive environment for young girls to explore their purpose in life.

Description

Bernadette’s House, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in October 2012. Our volunteer staff is dedicated to providing a safe and supportive home-like environment for preteen and teenage girls who live in and around Laurel, Maryland. Careful consideration is made to match each girl with a mentor who is dedicated to developing a nurturing relationship that encourages the mentee to venture on a journey of self-discovery, and "dare to dream" of a life full of possibilities.

Our program fosters the development of critical thinking and problem-solving skills that will enable the girls to make life choices that will have a positive impact on their future.
