Are you curious, adventurous and looking for a nice internship or meaningful volunteer position? Beyond South America - a small scale mediation agency in internships and volunteer positions - helps, connects and supports.
The project
Villa Libertad, a house run by a small local family where 15 adopted children from different (mostly violent) background live, are looking for you! They provide the children (aged from 4 to 18) a safe place to live and although the budget is tight, they try to offer them as many chances in life, for example on an educational level.
We are looking for a teacher to continue their development of the English language. Most of the children have a basic level of English and the desire to learn not only grammar as well as more speaking skills.
There will be the opportunity to become involved in other areas of the activities in the house as you settle in. You will make a big difference to the lives of youngsters, living in challenging circumstances. The ability to speak fluent Spanish, will be an advantage, but is not essential. You will need to be motivated, energetic and goal-driven.
This volunteering work can be done for a period of time from 2 months or longer.
Your profile
- Good level of written and spoken English
- Ability to work using own initiative
- Motivated with a positive work ethic
- Experience of or interest in living abroad
- Passionate about development and education’s role herein
