The Lamorinda Arts Council is seeking a Treasurer to join our Board of Directors.

About the Position: This is a two year term, starting January 1, 2022. We have a professional CPA who prepares our tax returns. We also have a volunteer bookkeeper who enters and categorizes our income and expenses in Quickbooks.

What the Treasurer will handle:
* Oversight of our bookkeeper
* Acting as a liaison with our CPA
* Reporting to the Board at our monthly board meetings
* Leading our Finance Committee to prepare our annual budget

Our Treasurer is also always welcome to volunteer to help with any of our programs and attend our annual fundraiser and craft cocktail competition, Art of Mixology. Your contribution as our Treasurer will be invaluable. Our board is made up of a wonderful group of artists and arts enthusiasts.

Description

We are an engaged group of volunteers and donors who develop and produce events, partner with professional organizations and artists, give financial support and awards, and advocate for a vibrant, local culture of visual, performing, and literary arts.

Founded in 1950 as the Orinda Arts Council, the Lamorinda Arts Council has been stimulating, supporting, and advocating for the visual and performing arts in the schools and community for over sixty years. Key contributions to the schools and community include Lamorinda Idol, the High School Visual Arts Competition, Lamorinda ShortDocs Film Fest, Art in Public Places, Art Gallery at the Orinda Library, school musicals, and much more!
