General Functions: To guide campers between the ages of five and twelve throughout their camp experience, and create a leaning environment for campers that teaches Fitwize 4 Kids four core values of respect, honesty, responsibility and caring. Specific Responsibilities: * Assume responsibility for leadership and guidance to those campers in daily activities, with special attention to: personal hygiene and safety, camper participation in all-camp activities, meal time behavior and habits * Assume responsibility as activity leader or assistant leader in assigned activity areas * Assume responsibility for interpreting the rules, policies, and traditions of the camp to the camper * Serve as a good role model in personal language, appearance, communication skills, and health habits

Summer Camp Counselor duties and responsibilities

A Camp Counselor usually has a wide range of responsibilities, and some roles require specialist expertise, such as delivering lessons or providing instruction in class. Typical duties of a Camp Counselor might include:

• Organizing team games such as soccer, and basketball, explaining the rules and acting as referee or umpire throughout the game
• Leading activities such as crafts and art, demonstrating various techniques and encouraging children to come up with ideas
• Communicating with parents, providing updates where required and answering questions about the camp
• Checking on children with medical needs to ensure they have taken any required medication
• Providing guidance, motivation and support all camp visitors
