The Excel Center in South Bend is always looking for volunteers to help tutor our students. The Excel Center is a high school for adults 18 years old and over, offering the courses and supports students need to earn their Indiana Core 40 High School Diploma. We are seeking volunteer tutors to offer one on one, small group, and in class tutoring for Math, English and our ENL classes. Our class schedule is Monday through Thursday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Tutoring times would vary between this time frame and possibly Friday mornings from 9:00 am to 12:00pm. Our school year is from mid-July to the end of May. Our school is located on the west side of South Bend and we are a designated stop on the Transpo bus route. Please feel free to share this opportunity with any students interested in volunteering or staff that may require service hours for a class. I’ve attached a flyer with our information; students can contact me directly or call the school. If you have questions or need additional information, please let me know.
